Note: With the availability of type images from Antweb (posted April 2014), it is clear that Anoplolepis braunsi and Anoplolepis parsonsi are distinct species.

{Anoplolepis steingroeveri}Prins (1982) provided a full modern description plus excellent illustrations of all stages; a reduced version of his drawing of the major worker is shown below left. The worker stage is polymorphic, with the TL 2.9-8.0 mm. See Prins (1982).
