subspecies hertigi (Camponotus (Myrmotrema) avius Sants. v. hertigi n. v., Santschi, 1937d: 242, worker; mentioned in Santschi, 1930b: 78) from Angola, Chimboro - see http://www.antweb.org/specimenImages.do?code=casent0911826
soldier and worker only known (see Bolton, 1995) .

Santschi's (1926c) description of is at {original description}. Santschi's (1937d) description of hertigi is at {original description}. Santschi thought it might be close to Camponotus tauricollis. To me it seems the minor worker of "Camponotus olivieri osiris may be a junior synonym.
