Emery's (1877a; 1908a) description is minimal.  He placed it in a group with more or less decumbent pubescence on the tibiae but without spicules on the lower surface. It was the earlier variety a. of Mayr, being all yellow and from Turkestan . See - {original description}. Mayr's (1880) note is at {original description}.
