{Cataglyphis vaucheri}The photomontage is of a major worker from Jordan, Wadi Rum; A Lenoir 152a. The overall morphology and colour appears to match the type worker shown above.  The size, however, is some 20% smaller. Possibly Cataglyphis minimus Collingwood, 1985: 290) but larger than the dimensions given by Collingwood and not "entirely shining black".
