return to key {link to the Hymenoptera Name Server} Type location Zaïre (Cataulacus Bequaerti n. sp., Forel 1913b: 316, worker). Holotype worker and 3 syntypes only, from Riv. Lovoi, Kabanza, near Kikondja, Katanga; by J. Bequaert, 21.x.1911; in worker only described .

WORKER - TL 4.5-5.1 mm; characteristics as in key (Bolton, 1974a, not illustrated).

Bequaert (1922: 370) wrote of it as nesting in empty lepidopterous galls on a tree at Kabanza, near Kikondja, Zaïre.
