Dorylus (Anomma) erraticus (F. Smith)

Type locality Guinea (Anomma erratica, F.Smith, 1865: 71, worker wrongly given as from "New Guinea"; location correction by Wilson, 1964a: 443; in Dorylus by Emery, 1910b: 15; in Anomma by Donisthorpe, 1932c: 473) - see below; worker only known (see Bolton (1995) .

As a single small (ca 4.3 mm) worker there is no possibility for modern species allocation.

With the availability of the Antweb photographs, I feel quite sure that this is no more than a media worker of Dorylus (Anomma) kohli of which I show specimens from Guinea. If correct this could be argued as the senior synonym of kohli.
