Wheeler (1922) also has it from Nigeria at Warri, Forcados River (Henry Fischer), Congo and Zaïre. Forel (1911g) found a male in the Congo Museum from Zaïre, Lukula, by Daniel.

From Guinea a single male was taken at Kéoulenta, Mt. Nimba (Bernard, 1952).

D. mucronatus appears to be near identical except for slightly longer mandibles.
