Yellow traps at edge of savannah

{Lepisiota mota}The photomontage is of a specimen from Gabon, collected in a yellow tray trap, set in savannah at Pongara National Park, by Yves Braet. This exactly matches the illustration given by Santschi (1937d), including the weakly dentate petiole scale. It appears to be somewhat more red-brown than given by Santschi but the areas of lighter colour are the same. On this basis, I have raised mota to a full species status from the Santschi placement as a stirps of Lepisiota arnoldi.
