return to key {link to the Hymenoptera Name Server} The name Monomorium pacis Forel nomen dubium (Monomorium pacis n. sp., Forel, 1915: 343, worker, holotype only from Cape Town, South Africa) is recorded here as Bolton (1987: 404) was unable to locate the sole specimen and Forel's description is inadequate for further determination - no images on Antweb (February 2015) .

Forel's (1915) description is at {original description}; Arnold (1916: 234) gave a translation, this is at {original description}. The comparison is with leimbachi, junior synonym of Monomorium rhopalocerum.
