Monomorium trake Bolton

return to key {link to the Hymenoptera Name Server} Type location Ghana (Bolton, 1987: 417, not illustrated) collected at Aburi (P.M. Room, 22.iii.1969), holotype plus 3 paratype workers . Later found, ten workers, in primary forest leaf litter at Mankrang Forest Reserve and Bobiri, by Belshaw & Bolton (1994b) .

WORKER - TL 1.6 mm; eye small outer ring encircling only two ommatidia; colour uniform yellow, except for apex of first gastral tergite which has a transverse brown band (Bolton, 1987).
