{Myrmicaria arnoldi}Santschi's (1925c) description is at based on that of "striata" given by Arnold (1916: 296, illustrated, worker) - that is at {original description}. Santschi himself justified the denotation of a new species because the Arnold material was smaller and plainer; had more slender tibiae; had the petiole higher than the postpetiole (equisized in striata); the propodeal spines finer and no obvious promesonotal suture.
