Rigato (2016) did not sight the type. he gave: "The measurements below refer to Somalian specimens for comparison with South African ones already given by Bolton (1973) (n=3).
HL 1.70–1.72, HW 1.52–1.53, CI 89, SL 1.58–1.62, SI 104–106, FW 0.52–0.54, FI 34–36, PW 1.27–1.30, WL 2.08–2.18, HTL 1.70–1.76.
Material examined: SOMALIA: Mogadiscio, Afgoi, 22.iv–5.v.1984 (R. Mourglia) (3 w, MSNM). SOUTH AFRICA: Zululand (G. Arnold) (2 w, BMNH).
Transverse ridge on propodeum raised medially into a small tooth or tubercle; propodeal spines directed upwards and upcurved. Colour black, appendages brown and funiculi yellow-brown.

The specimens cited by Rigato are not on Antweb (June 2018). The Focol scale on the head image equates to HL 1.90, HW 1.70.

The only specimen sighted by Bolton (1973b) was that of Arnold (1924).
