Holotype worker and 6 paratype workers collected at CRIG from a rotten log (B. Bolton, 21.x.1970). Also at Kade (J. Majer), Asamankese (P.M. Room), Wiawso and Adeiso (D. Leston) - all of a single individual (Bolton, 1980).

WORKER - TL 2.6-2.9 mm; separated from similar species by its distinctive colouration, the head and alitrunk being glossy dull yellow and the gaster brown.
