Described by Bolton (1980) from the sole holotype worker, collected at Aburi in (P.M. Room, 3.vii.1969).

WORKER - TL 3.4 mm; characterised by a dense covering of short erect blunt stubbly hairs, and the first gastral tergite having fine very dense reticulo-punctate sculpturation.
