Note: I have removed the former subspecies bugnioni
to a junior synonym of Cataglyphis
viaticus.

The minor worker from Kuwait, shown below, is an exact
match in size and structure; the colour also is very similar if
adjustment is made for the common Antweb problem of too high a magenta
component.

Observed and
collected while foraging singly during the day; also recorded at Camp
Doha, west of Kuwait City, where it was active at night.
