The identification of the male shown below is speculative as the male of mlalu, as with almost all Axinidris species, is unknown. The general form and wing venation etc., fits with the Dolichoderines and the petiole shape seems to place it with Axindiris. The type location of mlalu is Dzanga-Sangha.
