Description (after Kempf, 1976b) -
WORKER - TL ca 12 mm; HW > HL; mandibles distinctly dentate in basal half, obtuse angle between basal border and masticatory border; clypeus without a median tumulus; posterior end of frontal sulcus (notch) often with a rudimentary ocellus; metanotal groove may be faintly marked; reddish-brown, darker than brachycola; propodeum less strongly constricted or depressed than brachycola; hind tibiae with spine-like setae, petiole as in drawing, with long subpetiolar process.
