Brown's description was -
TL 5.6-5.7 mm, HL 1.05-1.10, HW 0.81-0.84
A large, coarsely sculptured, reddish brown species, with the petiole
node slightly longer than broad. Head with transverse posterior margin,
straight behind, sides only gently convex; anterior face of clypeus
lacking a median tooth or carina. Antennae with 12 segments; funiculus
segments 2 to 9 broader than long, apical segment about 2/5 length of
funiculus and about 2.5 times as long as broad. Foveolae of sculpture
relatively small, numerous and crowded, especially on petiole and
postpetiole.

Kamituga,
Zaïre, at 700 m, 17 August 1957, E S Ross & R E Leech); also 3
paratype workers from 29 km S of Walikale, at 700 m (Ross & Leech).
