{Crematogaster angusticeps queen}The photomontage is of an alate queen from the Central African Republic, Dzanga-Sangha NP; collector Philippe Annoyer (CAR DA).
The two specimens, this and that below, appear a close fit for the Santschi (1911c) description and illustration, although a little larger TL ca 8.0 mm. They are quite distinct from the queen of Crematogaster wellmani, being smaller but with a relatively longer head, shorter scapes, curious oval ocelli, and, a distinctive large bordered spiracle on the propodeum.

{Crematogaster angusticeps queen}The photomontage is of a delate queen from the Central African Republic, Scierie de Bayanga; collector Philippe Annoyer (CAR DK).

{Crematogaster angusticeps male}The photomontage is of a possible, previously unreported, male from the Central African Republic, Scierie de Bayanga; collector Philippe Annoyer (CAR NB).
