434, worker) collected at Nyangwe to Stanleyville, by Fauconnet - see

n. var., Santschi, 1911g: 208, worker; new synonymy) from Congo
collected at Gomba, by A. Weiss - see below  .

Forel's (1910e) description of fauconneti is at  . Santschi's (1911g)
description of confusa is at  . The distinctive
colouration and general
sculpturation, etc. so clearly separates this form from the
yellow-brown Crematogaster
wilwerthi that I feel justified in raising it to full species
status.
