Similar to Crematogaster painei and Crematogaster alulai but shinier than both, with the head squarer than alulai and the propodeal spines at the top of the declivity, lower down in painei. Santschi (1937c) noted - "this form is specifically distinct from inconspicua by its flatter pronotum, the shallower metanotal groove and the wider, more trapezoidal, petiole.
