Although similar in form to censor and sharing some of the matt appearance due to fine spiculation, this has more extensive sculpturation especially on the front of the head and the clypeus but has a shiny gaster. This type specimen is larger than that of censor but the censor type is right at the bottom of the size range given by Forel.
