TL 20 mm; extremity of the stipe evenly rounded; size not given; long hairs between the ocelli; wing nerves black.

The photomontage is of a type male collated from http://www.antweb.org/specimen.do?name=casent0903715 ; referred to by Emery (1895j) as that listed as "Dorylus atriceps" in his earlier paper (1877b: 381).

Note: the scales on the Antweb originals do not match. That on the dorsal view is clearly wrong, as the other scales are all similar.
