{short description of image}Forel's (1912) description of a "Dorylus nigricans" queen, from Entebbe, Uganda, and collected by Vice-Consul Heinr. Schulze, in association with larvae, pupae and workers, is on Boven himself added confusion as, although he refers to the Forel paper, he seems to have overlooked the collection details.

The Forel illustration differs considerably from the "nigricans" queen as illustrated by Emery (1910) - see Dorylus nigricans page.
