holotype soldier/major only described .

{Lepisiota megacephala}Weber's (1943c) description is on {original description}. He noted the vial also contained "ordinary looking Acantholepis capensis workers". His description of the pilosity being a fine appresssed pubescence mainly on the head and numerous long whitish upright hairs chiefly on the alitrunk and gaster separate it from Lepisiota capensis which has stout black erect hairs.
What seems very likely is that this is a junior synonym of the dimorphic Lepisiota cacozela, of which I have several major workers matching Weber's description and illustration.
