WORKER - large species, TL 11.0-12.0, with very long
antennal scapes. Alitrunk without sculpture dorsally and only with
cross-ribbing at meso-metapleural suture laterally. Colour red-brown or
brown, appendages lighter, head and alitrunk with blue or violet
opalescence (Bolton, 1975a: 256, illustrated, mandible, full-face view
and petiole profile).
