WORKER - fairly large, TL 9.4-10.4 mm; posterodorsal
angle of petiole in profile drawn out into a spine or tooth. Head and
alitrunk rugose, not overlaid by punctures. First gastral tergite
smooth and shining (Bolton, 1975a: 250, not illustrated).
Bolton (1975a) reported several collections from Ivory
Coast, at Lamto, Toumodi (J. Lévieux) and ORSTOM near Abidjan (W.L.
Brown); Ghana, at CRIG (B. Bolton), Aburi, Mt. Atewa, Bosuso,
Legon, Sajimasi (D. Leston); and Cameroun, at Ototomo (G.
Terron) and Mbale Mejo to Ekingli (G. Schwab). All forest or cocoa
locations.
