Atewa, under a rotten twig on a path, by Bolton himself (12.vi.1970); four other collections from same location (total 10 workers, D. Leston, 29.vii and 5.viii.1966); and Ivory Coast, at Banco Forest, 6 workers, 4 females (W.L. Brown, 8.i.1963) (Bolton, 1975a) .

WORKER - small, TL 4.9 mm; petiole node with upper halves of sides longitudinally sulcate. Dorsum of head reticulate-punctate. Pronotum strongly sculptured. Colour black, appendages brown.
