Type location Ivory Coast
(Bolton, 1975a: 261, illustrated, mandible shape only, worker);
holotype worker and five paratype workers from Banco Forest (13.i.1963)
and ORSTOM (one worker, 7.i.1963, W.L. Brown) (Bolton, 1975a) .

Bolton's description is at .
WORKER - large medium, TL 8.0-8.2 mm; propodeum and
metapleurae sculptured. Mandibles without a lamelliform extension of
the inner margin. Colour principally dark brown, appendages lighter,
head and propodeum darker, black in places.
