WORKER - TL 3.2-3.8 mm; separable by the narrow
postpetiole in dorsal view, about half the width of the first gastral
tergite; no basigastral costulae; colour black to blackish-brown
(Bolton, 1983: 403, illustrated, full-face view, and dorsal view of
pedicel and base of gaster).
Listed from Ghana by Bolton (1983), at Bunso
(D. Leston) and Mampong (P.M. Room). Presumably the latter is the
collection given by Room (1971) as exornatum, from cocoa leaf
litter at the Mampong Cemetery farm in Ghana. Described as widespread
(53 workers from 7 sites) in their leaf litter samples in the
semi-deciduous forest zone of Ghana by Belshaw & Bolton (1994b).
