Type location Zaïre (Leptothorax (Goniothorax) Evelynae n. sp., Forel, 1916: 423, worker & queen) St. Gabriel, Kohl
worker and queen described; genus name change by Bolton (2003: 249) .

Collected at St. Gabriel, by Kohl. Bequaert (1922, p 407) cited it as collected by Father Kohl from in myrmecophilous plants.

WORKER - TL 2.5-2.9 mm; distinguished by a lack of hairs on the propodeum and first gastral tergite; colour yellow (Bolton, 1982: 328, illustrated alitrunk and pedicel profile).
