Paedalgus rarus Bolton & Belshaw

Type location Kenya (Bolton & Belshaw, 1993: 187, illustrated, lateral profile, worker), holotype and paratype workers from Embu, Kirimiri Forest, W. of Runyenje, 1500 m, 3.x.1977, by V. Mahnert & J.-L. Perret from leaf litter sample (Belshaw & Bolton, 1994b) .

Bolton & Belshaw's description (1993) is at

WORKER - TL 1.4 mm; distinguished as in key, colour yellow (Bolton & Belshaw, 1993).

Watts et al. (2002) collected it from leaf litter in the Mbalmayo Forest Reserve, Cameroun in 1993.
