The specimens below which I earlier designated Plagiolepis (Plagiolepis) nsp Sudan JM, appear to be a close match to the type and modern specimens of P. exigua and, therefore, I have decided to place them here.

Notes: Head in full face view ovoid to square with rounded posterior angles; in profile with near flat dorsum and underside; clypeus shallowly domed with anterior margin shallowly arcuate; palps short; scapes just reach occiput; segments 2-7 of funiculus about equisized; eyes flat set just forward of mid-length of head; propodeum profile evenly arcuate; erect hairs restricted to anterior of clypeus, a single pair on the occiput, and at the posterior of the gaster; even when undistended gaster at least as long as head and alitrunk combined; no obvious pubescence; wholly smooth and shiny; colour orange-yellow
