(Santschi, 1913c: 302, worker; Santschi, 1914c: 288, male) collected at
Molunda by A. Reichensperger
junior synonym mabirensis (as Plectroctena
mandibularis ssp mabirensis, Arnold, 1954: 293,
illustrated, worker; synonymy by Bolton, 1975b: 8) from Uganda
worker and male described (see Bolton 1995) .

WORKER - large, TL
14.8-15.8 mm; mandibles falcate. Antennal scapes relatively long. First
gastral tergite narrowed anteriorly, with small punctures but without
foveolae. Colour black (Bolton, 1975: 8, illustrated, mandible and
petiole/first gastral tergite in dorsal view).
Others from Cameroun (Soppo, von Rothkirch) and
Zaïre (Wheeler, 1922; Bolton, 1975b).
