Tetramorium osiris (Bolton)

return to group key {link to the Hymenoptera Name Server} Type location Ghana (Triglyphothrix osiris, Bolton, 1976: 332, illustrated, alitrunk and pedicel, worker). Holotype worker and two paratypes only; known solely from the type location, found in leaf litter at Mt. Atewa in (B. Bolton, 10.viii.1968) .

WORKER - TL 2.8-2.9 mm; branched hairs primarily bifid and abundant, those on first gastral tergite primarily quadrifid. Colour brown, alitrunk and pedicel much lighter than the gaster, which is very dark brown (Bolton, 1976).
