Emery (1916b: 244)
separated lasioides in a key by - frontal sulcus indistinct or
nearly so; colour reddish-brown, head duller, gaster brown-black;
tibiae without erect hairs or almost so; quite slender and less
pubescent than type; TL 2.2-3.0 mm.
Santschi's (1921e) separation of barbara was
worker TL
2.6-2.8 mm; differing from race lasioides by the black colour
or near black, with brownish appendages and clearer antennae, general
shinier appearance of the body (from Morocco and Tunisia). Bondroit
