Crematogaster (Sphaerocrema) wilwerthi Santschi

Type location Zaïre (Cremastogaster Wilwerthi n. sp., Santschi, 1910c: 372, illustrated, worker) collected at Luki, by Wilwerth; worker only described (see Bolton, 1995) .

Note - with a fresh specimen from the Central African Republic, I have raised the black subspecies fauconneti from Zaïre (Forel, 1910e: 434, worker) collected at Nyangwe to Stanleyville, by Fauconnet, to full species status Crematogaster (Sphaerocrema) fauconneti, with a junior synonym confusa (Santschi, 1911g: 208, worker) from Congo collected at Gomba, by A. Weiss.
