{Monomorium altinode}The photomontage is of a worker from Congo, Brazzaville; collector Yves Braet.

This and the other Congo collection listed above are from the type location. They share the flattened propodeum profile of the Santschi (1910c) drawing.

{Monomorium altinode}The photomontage is of a worker from Gabon, Pongara National Park, Savannah, malaise trap, 17.v-09.vi.2006; collector Yves Braet.

{Monomorium altinode}The photomontage is of a worker from Cameroun; Boga; 3°53'60"N 10°46'60"E; lowland area elevation <250m; tuna bait in fallow; 21.xi.2007; collector A Fotso Kuate.

Note this may be Monomorium tynsorum as there seems very little to choose between them. The ranges of the two species are identical, assuming one accepts that the single collection of tynsorum from Luanda, Angola, comes from an ecosystem contiguous with that northwards through the Congos and into Gabon and southern Cameroun. This worker appears close to the Santschi (1920b) description and drawing of his variety bondroiti.
