Type location Cameroun (Bolton, 1987: 427, not illustrated, worker, queen noted but not described); collected at Nko'emvon by D.A. Jackson, 12.i.1980), holotype, 7 workers and 1 female; plus 5 other workers (5.i.1980) .

WORKER - TL 1.8-2.0 mm; conspicuous clypeal carinae with edges sharply defined V-shape; colour of head and body blackish-brown (Bolton, 1987).
