Africa
records include Ivory Coast, at Lamto (J. Lévieux); Ghana,
at Mampong (P.M. Room); and Togo, at Palimé, Kpimé Forest (Vit)
(Bolton, 1983).
Laboratory studies of its predatory habits and use of
chemical
attractants to lure Collembolan prey were described by Déjean (1985).
Bolton (2000) altered that with separating the "species" into five
distinct species. The resulting emarginata

modern finding). All the West Africa findings appear to be of Pyramica exunca. |
