Described from the holotype worker and numerous paratypes from the Tai Forest, in (T. Diomande, 9.viii.1975, 12.iii.1976). Bolton also examined specimens from the Banco Forest (W.L. Brown).

WORKER - TL 2.8-3.0 mm; quickly separable by the presence of a unsculptured median longitudinal strip on the postpetiole dorsum. Petiole node roughly rectangular in profile. All dorsal surfaces with numerous stout hairs which are blunted apically. Colour dark brown, gaster slightly lighter.
