The waters near thigh height - fields at Chorniloki, 5 June 1982. The hedge is of "dhainchia" to keep out water hyacinth.	Near by farmers are harvesting the spring "aus" rice crop - a short duration spring rice, low yielding but vital food for the months before the main "aman" harvest.

Stem sampling now has become a very wet business.	Travel by boat has become essential, "roadways" appear across the beels.
